Spitfire Heart Team, receive the mountain bikes that they will be riding on The Lesotho Sky Mountain Bike Challenge, which is a world recognised event.
The bikes have all been purchased by the individual members of The Spitfire Heart Team.
After the event they will be presented to the people of Lesotho as a gift.
Colon Southern from Bikeworks in Skelmersdale, puts The Spitfire Heart Team through a series of mountain bike instructions and then onto the mountain bike track in Rainford to get the feel of its rough terrain.

Spitfire Heart Team Ready for Take off
Bikes for Spitfire Heart now restored by Bike Works from Skemlesdale.
Now ready for the first leg of their journey to Lesotho, stopping off in Cornwall, where a life size model of the Spitfire Plane has been built by David Spencer Chairman of The Spitfire Heritage Trust and Volunteers .
When the Spitfire Plane has been secured in the container with the bikes, they will then be transported by sea to Lesotho, to arrive the first week in September.
The Tri-4-Life Spitfire Heart Team taking part in the six day Lesotho Sky Mountain Challenge, will be involved in distributing the donated bikes from Liverpool Heartbeat to surrounding villages of Lesotho.
